APPALACHIAN TRAIL

The Appalachian Scenic Trail is another wonderfully descriptive guide.
The Trail challenges you with a 2,158 mile long hike and will often take 6
months to complete.  Talk about commitment!  The wonderful guide gives lots of descriptive dialog, talks about all the plants and flowers along the way, and provides the hiker, casual or committed, with lots of good advice.  A must for those who are really serious about walking from one end of our country to the other.  Well, maybe not exactly from one end to the other, but with a hike this long, why quibble. You can also hike shorter stretches of the trail.

Should you decide to dedicate some time to this adventure and want a hot
shower and a comfortable bed along the way, we'll be happy to accommodate you at the
Abbey Inn above Maggie Valley.
