Cataloochee Ski Area Located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, 4 miles off US 19 above Maggie Valley!
Cataloochee has nine slopes and trails that are 25% beginner, 50% intermediate, and 25% advanced. The vertical drop is 740' and boasts two double chairlifts and 1 rope tow. Snow Boarding is allowed on all slopes.
When "Mother Nature" doesn't cooperate, "state of the art" snow making equipment provides fun and excitement.
Slopes offer daily, twilight and evening hours. They offer ski schools for all ages in groups or private. Reservations are recommended for weekends and holidays lessons. Lift tickets are available at adult, student and junior rates. Seniors 65 and over, kids 6 and under receive a free lift ticket. Military personnel with valid I.D. receive discount rates. Rental equipment is available at the lodge as well as area shops.
