Note: On the first leg of your trip to visit all these falls, take the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Asheville to the US 276 exit. After exiting the Parkway turn right (south) on US 276. Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls are located on US 276. You have to drive a little further for the rest. Stay on US 276 to US 64, and turn south. Turn right on NC 281 to Whitewater Falls, then backtrack to US 64. You can visit Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls from US 64. To see Courthouse Falls, stay o US 64 to US 215 and turn north.
Visible from the roadside on US 64 in Cullasaja Gorge, this 250' waterfall is located in the Nantahala National Forest. To reach the actual falls, you need to hike about 1/2 mile on a steep, rough trail. You can reach US 64 by staying on US 27 south to 64.
Factoid - The gorge leading to the falls is part of the trail for DeSoto's 1540 expedition in search of gold. The name, Cullasaja, comes from a Cherokee word meaning "honey locust place".
