Although opening your windows and pulling up your blanket makes for perfect sleeping weather, we do have extra blankets in the closet all year.  Electric baseboard heat is also available for those who like a warmer room.  If you like your room cooler, turn on your ceiling fan and let the wonderful mountain breezes to cool you off.

When will Ghost Town in the Sky be open?

Due to some severe rockslides over the winter, the road used for delivering supplies to Ghost Town is still under construction.  We were hoping the Park would opne for the summer, but right now it looks like they are forced to stay closed until next year.

Why do you close for the winter?

Since we are on the north face of the mountain, our temperatures are regularly colder than down in town and the snow takes much longer to melt.  A snow fall that melts in two or three days in the valley, can last well over a week up here. Our driveway and parking area are almost impossible to plow well enough for you to be able to reach your room safely.  Therefore, we have decided to close when the cold weather arrives, and use the time to make necessary repairs or do projects to upgrade the property.
